I recently decided to instal Ubuntu 10.04 Maverick Meerkat onto an HP Amilio i2727 to try to solve the endless wireless connection problems i had with Windows Vista that was insalled there.
The installation went smoothly and the wireless connection worked first time. Because the HP amilio does not have a hardware switch to enable; a software switch must be used. I was afraid that this might couse problems but it didn't. Ubunto merely switched the wireless on at startup.
On the same network another HP machine HP 550 started giving me wireless problems to the same access point (AP). So I decided to install u\Ubuntu there too. However, I decided to try Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal on this machine just to stay on the cutting edge... Failure. No matter whet i tried I could not get the wireless connection working. So now I am re-installing Ubuntu but with version 10.04. Let's see...
